Disney Cruises aren’t just for kids!

Our 7 night Mexican Riviera Adventure on the Disney Wonder was the perfect cruise without the kids! If you go on the Mexican Riviera Disney cruise, the Disney Wonder will be your cruise ship.

The Disney Wonder is the second ship to join the Disney fleet in 1999. She is nearly identical in construction to her fleet mate, Disney Magic. The interior of Disney Wonder is decorated in the Art Nouveau style. She is an 84,000 ton, 984 feet long cruise ship which can carry around 2,700 passengers. The crew is not included in that number and usually stands around 1,000 crew members. Yup… you read that right – one staff member for every 2.7 guests! The large crew and attention to detail are just a few reasons why Disney Cruise Line is known for its service. The Wonder has 10 decks, 875 staterooms, 3 swimming pools, 4 hot tubs, 2 theaters, 3 kids clubs, Wide World of Sports Deck and a whole lot of Disney fun! Disney Mexican Riviera Ports of Call

The Disney Wonder makes port stops at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta on her 7 night cruise for the Disney Mexican Riviera Cruises. Cabo San Lucas

Sailing into Cabo San Lucas is a very special experience and

breathtakingly beautiful. Located on the Southern Tip of the Baja

Peninsula, Cabo offers a huge choice of things to do – ranging from sport fishing to snorkeling, kayaking to relaxing on one of the

white sandy beaches. If you plan to leave the ship you will need to tender from the cruise ship into port. We did an amazing luxury

sailboat cruise aboard a 50-foot Beneteau sailboat. After setting sail into the Sea of Cortez we headed to the natural wonders such as the famous arching rock structure, Lovers Beach and a sea lion colony while we sampled appetizers of freshly cooked shrimp skewers and fresh made guacamole & chips. We then sailed about a 45 minutes to a local beach we stopped to snorkel for about an hour before heading back with an amazing freshly made lunch of ceviche, tuna in tomato cups, grilled chicken, pasta salad, rolls & chocolate Mexican dessert and beverages including Margaritas while leisurely sailing back to the marina! The crew was awesome… I absolutely loved this excursion! Mazatlan You will certainly love Mazatlán – the shrimp capital of the world!

This busy commercial port city located in Mexico's State of Sinaloa has 14 miles of sandy beaches, Golden Zone Shopping and Old Town known as The Pearl of the Pacific. Mazatlán is a pleasant destination which combines sun and beach with the architectural richness of its historic downtown. To get to old Mazatlan and the

Golden zone, taking a taxi or an open air golf-cart type vehicle called Pulmonia is the best option. From the pier it is one mile to

Old Mazatlan and four miles to the Golden Zone. I just loved our Shrimp Fest port adventure! Just a short drive from the pier

Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta may be my favorite Mexican Riviera Port. The charming downtown area is well worth a visit. Excursions include swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, whale watching, sailing, zip lining, and horseback riding. We opted to do a city tour for

a little bit of shopping, some very nice tropical scenery, and a taste of the local flavor. I just loved the cobbled streets and all the local people that adorned this city. Our stroll along the famous boardwalk, or malecon was relaxing and we got a look at some of the many statues lining the water, such as the whale and the sea horse statue. There are so many interesting sites to see in this picturesque city including El Palacio Municipal (City Hall), the main plaza and other city landmarks, such as the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe),

Gringo Gulch, and the flea market area. We enjoyed our authentic Mexican lunch while overlooking the views of the Banderas Bay from the mountains of the Sierra Madre. Highlights of Our Days at Sea!

  • The main dining at Tritons, Animators Palate & Tiana’s Place was superb - many options on the menu! Our servers in 2nd dining were wonderful - They were personable and very efficient.

  • We enjoyed breakfast & lunch in Cabana’s almost every day. There are so many amazing selections and never felt crowded or had to wait in line. Everything was fresh & delicious.

  • Our ocean view cabin was very comfortable and clean and very big. Our stateroom host was fun and very attentive and made the BEST towel animals!

  • So many adult focused activities such as; wine tasting, bourbon tasting and even a mixology seminar!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my mid-day java at the adult-only Cove Café… Mmmmm!

  • Entertainment was high quality. The main stage shows are of a high caliber with Frozen the musical stage show being a highlight. I also enjoyed The Golden Mickey’s & Disney Dreams!

  • We enjoyed all the adult entertainment options on the ship! We liked trivia, bingo, crafts, adult only game shows, adult only pool area and lounges. The adult only restaurant, Palo is amazing. Cruise entertainment staff were very upbeat, personable and hilarious!

  • Rainforest Room was the perfect place to detoxify after a long day of cocktails & indulging.

  • Pre-dinner jazz sessions in the Cadillac Lounge with our new friends also Adult-ing without the kids!

This was an amazing cruise - We had an amazing experience with superior service and I cannot wait for my next Disney cruise! Hasta Luego
